ABOUT THIS SITE
SuperIntelligence.com is dedicated to accelerating the development of safer SuperIntelligence (SI), designing SI that aligns with human values and grows safer as more people take part.
The best path to safety is design. Rather than relying on control after development, we focus on creating intelligent architectures that align with human goals from the start. As the global race toward advanced SI accelerates, we must also increase the probability that the first Superintelligence created will be both safe and beneficial.
Our mission: Accelerate Safer SuperIntelligence
We have pursued this through three core efforts:
-
Raising awareness of the existential threat advanced SI poses, if designed poorly.
-
Inventing safe SuperIntelligence designs and making them freely available.
-
Collaborating and consulting with technology companies and governments to implement safe designs.
About Craig A. Kaplan and iQ Company
Dr. Craig A. Kaplan is the inventor of the designs and technologies that enable safe SuperIntelligence. A pioneer in intelligent systems for more than four decades, he co-authored research with Nobel Laureate and Turing Award winner Dr. Herbert A. Simon.
Since 1993, Kaplan has led iQ Company, a consulting firm specializing in intelligent systems. His designs have powered major breakthroughs, including financial systems that achieved top performance on Wall Street and executed billions of dollars in trades.
In 2020, iQ Company focused entirely on developing safe architectures for AGI and Superintelligence. By 2023, the company had created dozens of interoperable technologies that advance SI safety and lower existential risk. Recognizing the urgency of responsible adoption, these inventions were made freely available on SuperIntelligence.com, a domain Kaplan has owned since 2006.
In 2022, Kaplan launched SuperIntelligencebyiQ, a YouTube channel dedicated to safe, democratic SuperIntelligence. Through videos, interviews, and clear explainers, the channel breaks down the ideas and designs behind aligned AGI and SuperIntelligence for a broad audience.
