Our mission: Accelerating Safer SuperIntelligence

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has described AI safety as an engineering problem. We share that view at SuperIntelligence.com.

People tend to assume that slower is safer. It is not. Smarter is safer. The risks that come with SuperIntelligence will not be reduced by pausing; they will be reduced by better design and better engineering.

We are confident it is possible to bring existential risk, whatever level it sits at today, down to less than 0.01%. We have been working on this problem since 2006, and the solutions are described in the white papers and videos published freely on this site.

The faster we can achieve safer SI through smart design and engineering, the better for all of humanity.

On the term “SuperIntelligence”

In his address to the United Nations on September 22, 2026, President Donald Trump said that U.S. government documents would adopt the term “super intelligence” in place of “artificial intelligence,” calling it the more accurate description. “Welcome to the new world of SuperIntelligence – SI,” he said. He added that the United States would watch the technology closely and continue to develop it safely and responsibly.

We have used the term SuperIntelligence since 2006. We welcome its wider adoption.

ABOUT CRAIG A. KAPLAN

Craig Kaplan
"For all its superior processing speed and perception, SuperIntelligence will still run up against the hard fact that there is no way to rationally derive morality, no matter how intelligent it becomes. I suggest that this is a good thing for our species."

Dr. Craig A. Kaplan is CEO of iQ Company and an inventor and expert in intelligent systems with more than four decades of experience in AI. He earned his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied with AI pioneers Herbert A. Simon and Allen Newell. He co-authored research with Simon, a Nobel laureate and Turing Award winner. Since 2020, Kaplan and iQ Company have focused on safe architectures for AGI and SuperIntelligence, including collective intelligence systems designed to improve human oversight, alignment, and safety. His research and related technologies are publicly available through SuperIntelligence.com.
